HPT & WSCST work hand in hand... You can use HPT and not use WSCST You can use HPT and use a modified version of WSCST As an example: P7 is a HP5SI.... You change the devd to HPT=*yes and manufacture model to *HP5SI. When you direct a spool file to that printer, it uses the default WSCST for a HP5SI. This was created by IBM. Same example as above except: You don't like fonts,etc,etc... 1. RTVWSCST for a HP5SI and store it in "your" library, ex: QGPL/MYHP5SI 2. Make your changes to the wscst 3. Compile the member using a name other than HP5SI. 4. Vary off P7 5. WRKDEVD P7 6. change the option for workstation customizing object to "your" compiled object, ie: myhp5si (from step 3) 7. Vary on the printer and test...... 8. Goto step 2 if not happy. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
