Michele,

1st off I'm a bit surprised that the V4R3 test is still being offered since
the
V4R4 test has been out for a year I believe. Are you running a V4R3 system? If
you are on V4R4 or a 7xx series system then you may want to consider the V4R4
tests (there are two for V4R4).

Nonetheless, The first thing if you haven't already done so is to go here:

 http://www.ibm.com/education/certify/tests/obj361.phtml

and print it out. This is the outline that the test is written to. There
WILL
be questions in each of the areas there, sometimes more than one. REMEMBER:
You
must answer the questions with V4R3 and 6xx/Sxx and earlier hardware in mind.
Even though the test covers V4R3 and that OS will run on 7xx boxes the test was
written prior to 7xx hardware announce. The best single book to know and 'love'
is the As/400 Handbook (GA19-5486 Revision 16)

You must know a lot about the AS/400 including CISC to RISC conversions,
Network connectivity, Hardware configurations, and What software features of
OS/400 and licensed programs are available and what they are used for.

There are 10 or so sample questions on the web site which will do little more
than give you a flavor for the way the questions are written. At least they are
questions about the material in the test. There is also available a diagnostic
test on the Web. You must pay a fee to take that but I absolutely would
recommend that you do so before you spend money to take the real test. The
diagnostic assesment has the same number of questions as the real test and
covers
all areas the real test does. It will NOT tell you which questions you get
wrong
but Will tell you in which areas you did poorly or did well.

I must say that these tests (V4R3 AND V4R4 versions) are fairly wide in scope
and if you pass with 10 months on the platform, I would be impressed.
