Sorry if I was unclear. No, the digital media is not distributed on CD's. The more important aspect of this type of inventory to my client is the version retention, so that changes can be made without loosing the original, wa well as tracking the "production" (how many printed copies of each version) have been requested. In its simplest form, it would require the ability to copy the core information about a product to a new number and still retain the link to the original product ID for product analysis.
