this happens to us on occasion too, I need to open the operations navigator, open the as/400, open the network, open the servers, open the TCP/IP icon, then right click on AS/400 NetServer, and START the darn thing. Sometimes I also have to right click and start the NFS and the FTP. We ipl weekly, but on occasion it does not start all the servers in our ipl cl routine. If I cannot connect to the IFS with explorer, my first jump is to do these steps, and I just don't have time to figure out why the start up cl works intermittently. HTH Mark A. Client access v3r2. Win95. Up to last week, I was able to access files in the IFS with explorer or network neighborhood. Now I only see the printers of the AS/400!! If I try to access the IFS with operation navigator, I get an error during the "files directoy extraction" (the wording may not be exact since my system is in french). Any suggestion as to why I can not see the IFS anymore?
