We had a solution years ago that did this. We had our wire
plants that had a terminal that did this. Oops, wasn't touch
screen. It just had a few keys on the screen edge. Oh well,
if you want further info let me know. The system was featured
in a few magazines like News/400 and some industry trade rags.

Subject: Touch screen

Hello all,

I am investigating the possibility of using touch screen on the shop floor to
access an AS/400. We have an RPG program that can work with a mouse (push
button and all). We would like the user to touch the screen instead of using a
mouse.

Can this be done?
Suggestion as to the brand and maker of this kind of equipment.?

Also, if possible, we would prefer a terminal instead of a PC. (more reliable,
less blue screen)

Thanks in advance
