<flame on>
If your PC guy will steal from IBM, and probably many PC vendors,
what will stop him from stealing from you? How will you handle
the liability for the illegal software this guy probably has
loaded on to your PC's after I forward this email on to the proper
authorities?
I should say yeah it will work, go ahead and do it. It's a flawless
upgrade so therefore y'all don't need to backup prior to the upgrade.
Oh, and when the expiration dates hit and the software stops working
then just call IBM. They'll be happy to help you.
<flame off>
Unlike most PC's, IBM uses a combination of model, serial number and
whatnot in their codes.

Subject: Re: 720 AND 170 UPGRADE

OUR 720 WAS UPGRADED 4.3 TO 4.4.
THE 170 IS STILL AT 4.3.

THE 170 IS NOT UNDER SERVICE CONTRACT. OUR PC GUY HAS SUGGESTED TO THE MIS
GUY TO UPGRADE THE 170 USING THE CD'S AND KEY CODES FROM THE 720 UPGRADE.

 WILL THIS WORK?
