Roger, All of my 24x7 accounts (except for one government site) are in different buildings, and some are in different cities. This is because they are really 24x7. I agree that the risk of CPU failure, massive power outage and fire are low. (Keep in mind that almost [much DASD is now excluded] any hardware failure requires the CPU to be powered off. The alternative is to "live better electrically".) However the risk of CPU upgrade, adding DASD, and new releases to the primary partition are great.
