You can use a piece of software called a "sniffer" to view packets being sent
via tcp/ip. I am not familar with it, but your local network engineer should
be.

What type network components exist between the two AS400's ? I am thinking that
it may be related to the MTU setting on your tcp/ip interface or route?

Everyone,

I am getting the following error message on are Token Ring line, it read:

Line TRN01 status information, line is running

And when I do a F-9 on this it read:

This message has been reported to signal the occurrence of a potential
problem with the communications media. The local communications system has
received a frame that is too large to be received by the current MAC
configuration. MAC truncates the fame to the maximum allowable length but
does not alter the value in the 'length' field of the incoming frame. Upon
reception of the frame by the LLC layer, the frame will be rejected since
the length field will be too large. The remote communications system will
have to retransmit the frame.

This message is appearing in QSYSOPR every 2 mini. I no when this message
started we were trying send a report over from 1 As/400 to the other thru
TCPIP and it never made it. Is there a way to view everything going over
TCPIP or a way to fix this error. Any suggestion.

Thanks
