I have to disagree, sort of.

My company does not promote a Payroll/AS singular solution, but if a
compnay -already- has cause to possess an AS/400 they may as well toss
in Payroll and with less than a two year cost to ADP or their bank or
whomever they gain.

Our target is any company with 50+ employees. Naturally the higher the
number, the greater the gain or quicker the ROI.

Our Y2K plan is to jump into the ASP (Application Service Provider) pool
and offer an (AS/400) alternative to companies like ADP.

BTW, I'm NOT picking on ADP, they just happen to be the generic name for
outsourced Payroll services.

IMHO, Payroll process has become a commodity.  A penny profit service.
