Hi John, we had this solution because the BPCS consultant told us that the software needed the *allobj usrcls, even on this scheme. I ask the same question to the consultant but, I guess he had more arguments with my boss than I had. Anyway, we also had users that works with ODBC, C/S, and so, and this users had an special security configuration(private authorities on any object they like-need to use), and they where/are (I don't know if they still doing it) monitored and audited constantly by the system. This user's where constrained to some hours at day, devices, communications lines, etc. And everybody on our systems know, if anything happens on the system with their user's they will be held responsible for the good/damage(It took some work, but we convince the H/R department to put these on the employee contract.) So, has you can guess, everybody is really careful with their users password.
