I have a client that has 2 AS400s. One is a 170 used as a web server, the second is the application/database box. The application box places documents in its IFS in a directory called DailyReports. This works fine. We would like them to be served from the HTTP server on the 170. I have created a IFS directory on the web machine called the same name as the application AS400. So far so good. Using my signon, interactively I can use the DSPLNK command and look at directory \QFileSvr.400\FAB\DailyReports and see all the files in the directory on the remote AS400. However, when I try to use a net.data macro to do this, I get an authority problem. Net.Data uses the profile QTMHHTP1 to make its request to the remote system. The on line manual says that the profile use must exist on both machines and be able to sign on (I think they may even need to have the same password). The profile QTMHHTP1 exists on both machines but has no passwords. I can not change the password either. Both boxes are at V4R4 and are at the current PTF level. Any ideas?
