Bill:

We have placed IBM Network Stations in our remote IP Branches and after a
few configuration issues, they are working pretty well. They may be overkill
if all you need is terminal emulation. 5250 terminal manufacturers such as
IO have come up with TCPIP terminals that all they do is 5250. They cost
much less than the IBM Network station and come with the standard 122
keyboard used by the 3477 style terminals.

                Subject: TCP/IP Terminals For AS/400

I have just been handed the job of setting up some of our
remote sites with
a couple terminals. These remote sites are connected to our
frame, but don't
have Perle controllers... so a 3477 on Twinax is out of the
question. PC's
running CA are out of the question too.

The boss wants "something along the lines of thin client"
and "as sturdy as
                a 3477".

I'm really bummed out that he isn't allowing CA on PC's as I
would love to
get rid of some of these 486's we have laying around.

These devices must communicate using TCP/IP.

                Help!
