message: Many years ago in Castrol A/S I were IT manager:

Product: PC Support on s/38
Virus: 1701
Implanted on a single identified PC, spread to all other except for a few that
wasn't turned on since the infection. I se no other ways that could have spread
it than programs on the standard 'shared folder' I:\
My opinion then was that it should not be possibly because of security/access,
as the 'common profile' was each users individual profile. 'Unfortunately'
(from a scientific view) the cure was immediately to reinstall PC-support and
then clean the PC's. I did not get time to experiment with how it could happen.
This was on a long outdated program 'PC-Support', but the IFS 'QDLS' is a child
of this. I don't know if it could happen today.
