Subject: Y2K PTF Apply Failure

I have just loaded the two Y2K CDs to my V4R3 system and have run into an
error.

I had one PTF that showed up in the History Log as:
PTF 5763JC1-SF54399 not applied.
Applying of PTFs failed for product 5763JC1.

Upon further investigation I found the following:
Message ID . . . . . . : CPF35CF Severity . . . . . . . : 30

 Message type . . . . . : Diagnostic

 Date sent . . . . . . : 12/19/99 Time sent . . . . . . :
09:15:44
 Message . . . . : PTF 5763JC1-SF54399 not applied.

Cause . . . . . : The exit program failed and the back out failed. The

program temporary fix (PTF) status is set to damaged.

Recovery . . . : Refer to previously listed messages. After the exit

program problem has been resolved, load and apply the damaged PTF again.

Looking at the installed licensed program screen, I find:
5763JC1 *ERROR AS/400 Toolbox for Java

We do not use Java on this machine. Is this something that I need to be
concerned about? The PTF is listed in the Display PTF Status screen as:
        PTF IPL

Opt ID Status Action
        SF54399 Damaged Yes

What needs to be done to correct this situation? This was the only error
encountered.
