Netserver.... what a frustratting experience this is.

Ravi - as others have mentioned it may well be your profiles. 

If you log on to Windows with a user name that is the same as an AS/400
profile then you have to enter a password. Too many attempts and the
profile gets disabled for Netserver use. CHGUSPRF to get around this problem.

Another little gem, for QDLS documents I think you might need the Guest
profile to also be in the directory. WRKDIRE and add an entry for your
guest profile then see if you can access the books.

I think the password message is actually incorrect in this case.
