You must have the appropriate PTF's installed on your AS400 to have device naming conventions, TCP/IP printing, and automatic signon. Current PTF's as of 2/3/99. Order PTF cover letter II10918 for a list of the PTF's required for your release. IBM gives out the base PTF's and specifies that when you order the PTF's by ECS IBM will order the superceeded PTF's for you along with any pre/coreq PTF's that may be needed.
