A strength of Synapse NetWolf (TCP/IP) or Synapse WinAPPC (SNA) is its ability to run simultaneous and/or batch file transfers with WinTran. After setting up and saving each file transfer request you can mass them in a .TXT file and then click on one icon to set off all 50 file transfers sequentially. Alternately, WinTran can be called from any VB or C++ app to better control execution of the file transfers. In this case Synapse engineers have provided a messaging system that gives the pgmr the ability to monitor the status/result of the the file transfer(s) so that downstream processing can be controlled logically.
