Im not saying that this is the attitude of vendors, but we live in the
real world, where everything costs money. 

For instance, a certain piece of code in a certain program in a system
may work correctly. A new enhancement to that program may slightly
change the path that the program takes, and now results in an error. How
can that be prevented?

All im trying to say is that perfect software does not exist. Its a
reality that we have to face, and that we are all aware of.

If my boss gives me a project to complete, I have to balance the time i
will spend coding against the time I will spend testing. I could
probably test for every single condition possible, but unfortunately, I
have been given only a certain amount of time to complete the task. So
its a balancing act.

Try and name one software vendor in your experience that has error free
software, or even close to that.
