Jon,

Here's another strange thing to try. Disconnect the ECS modem if it is 
connected.
Disconnect the cable and all from the IOP.  We discovered (along with a very
savvy CE) that with that connected you never get the session up.  After getting
connected the first time, it works with the modem attached.
