Here's how programmers at Texas A&M solved their Y2k problem.
Extract from Report to the Board of Regents:

"We are proud to announce that our staff have completed our Y2k conversion
3 months ahead of schedule. All our programs have been converted and
thoroughly tested. They all convert correctly: January to Januark, February
to Februark, etc, also: Monday to Mondak, Tuesday to Tuesdak, and so
on. But we fail to see why that will be such a big deal on 12/31/99."
