Please explain this a bit more. When you say "system performance" do you mean other users will see a slowdown, that the user will suffer slower response times, that the system will begin to lag? Sometimes I like to remember a secretary that told me "You don't care how efficient I am, you care how effective I am." In other words, I'm not sure that in an interactive user session I really care about nanoseconds. "keystroke feedback"? where would one look for something abut that? But as I responded to another post, this defeats the efficiency of 5250 block transmission and will degrade overall system performance. This would be the holy grail of AS/400 display file techniques (hokay, > maybe not!) but requires the 5250 protocol to handle character-at-a-time I/O > which, from my understanding, is not currently possible. > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
