Bob, Christina, +++ --- There is some confusion here Mirroring is a hardware function High Avilability type thing restricted to a "single" AS/400 and therefore a "single" LPAR Partition as well, to my knoweldge. With the last few releases of the OS we have seen remote journals, DataPropagator, and intergrated Cluster / Fail Over support from Rochester. As well as a significant strengthing of the existing products like Mimix, and Data Mirror, Etc. So while your data can be available on multiple systems simultaneously it is not mirrored...
