I'd have to see the pricing first.... I'm at the point where my existing computer equipment is getting 'old;' it's not the fastest, shiniest, etc. I'm toying with the idea that my best move would be to get an AS/400 instead of a PC. At a minimum I'd like OS, CLP, RPG, JAVA, Query/400... in short, the same kinds of things we have at work. And I'd have to pay both the hardware and software fees myself. I'd have to see the pricing first. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@Ix.netcom.com >Let me ask a question to the list; > >How many people would like it if you could buy just ONE development package >for the AS/400 ? > >If you bought it to do development on the AS/400 you would automatically get >EVERY compiler on the AS/400, along with VA/xxxx & CODE/400 too. > >So you would have C, RPG, COBOL, VA/Java, VA/RPG, etc, etc. >and all the other Tools. > >Would that be a good idea?? > >John Carr +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
