>>SAP R/3 uses DB2/400 and makes extensive use of referential integrity. >>Stan McPartland >Well if they do then kudo's to them. Not many ERP packages do use RI. >Rob Berendt Hey, Wanna hear something funny ?? I was talking to someone who worked at Microsoft as recently as 6mos ago. He said, In MS's push to get SAP up on NT, They tried to use RI on NT and with the volume of data that they had, that after 2-3 days of of RI trying to "Sync-up" they had to turn it off. NT just didn't have the juice to bring up RI with SAP on NT !! Talk about having the "Lights Dim" . Funny or what? Well even if they can't run SAP on NT as it was intended(with RI), at least they can say that they don't run on AS/400's (At their site that is, at a different site owned by someone else -"service bureau" - is a different matter) John Carr +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
