Looking for some help maintaining our development environment.

Our policy issuing software is a VB app that uses the AS/400 for our
internal customers and SQLAnywhere for our disconnected agent force. Many
stored procedures (and triggers, but that's a different story) used.

We use Aldon for promoting to our system test and production environments,
but for various reasons we decided we did not want to control our
development environment that tightly.

Our development process is to create 'builds' that are released to the
functional test group. With each build we introduce any table schema
changes, and have to recompile all stored procedures that use them.

When functional testing is complete, we use Aldon to move all data schema
and stored procedure changes into the test environment, then to production
on the release date.

We could sure use a tool to help manage the creation of stored procedures
when a table is changed in development. I have a guy working on building
it, but would rather have him on the application itself.

Is there anything out there that could recompile all dependent programs and
stored procedures (both RPG 'wrapper' and SPL) when a table schema is
changed?

Thanks, JN
