  • Subject: Varied Off Virtual Devices Still Connecting
  • From: "Fred Pritchard" <pritch@xxxxxx>

Hi All,

I must be missing something.....

We are using Named Virtual devices on V4R3 with Client Access V3R2M0. When
the devices are varied off and the user attempts a connection, the device
varies on to a sign on display. BTW..all auto create options are off and
virtual devices are set to 0. Why is this doing this? Is there any way to
prevent this? To me this is a bug. When a device is varied off it should
not function until varied on. Is there a PTF for this? or an option in
client access?

TIA

Fred.
