Delete any and ALL device descriptions you have created on 400...

1. On the 3487.. setup 1 terminal ... 1 printer
2. For the printer.. select HP(generic)
3. For the emulation .. select 3812-SCS
4. Save config
5. Let the 400 auto config(should come up as 5219)
6. Make sure the device(printer) is varied on and print writer is
started..

To take the 400 out of the loop, config a "local" printer on the 3487
and see if you can at least print using print key....

This is a discontinued printer on the HP web page so I couldn't find
out much about it... Color Inkjet printer ???

One last thing... Can this printer emulate older HP printers and if so,
which ones ??????
