Actually, until the user community threatened to haul Big Blue's butt into court, they provided the additional memory at "no charge" for a year (I think) then they wanted to charge you for it. The real BIG problem with early shipped B10's was that any BP that had one shoved down their customers throats was considered the "cause" of customer dissatisfaction.
