IBM are removing support for V3.1.3 in May 2000, so i'd do the upgrade. Haven't noticed any performance problem, if anything its a bit quicker 'cause you only share the folders you are interested in. Plus you can hide it in the network neighborhood, and just give those who need it a mapped network drive. As in all client access's (!), bits of it are free, other bits like 5250 you need a licence. Gets my thumbs up.
