Re: Harbinger EDI Question

I believe that you are miss-interpreting the results. The hard error
stop in the translation was most likely over Harbinger's file as that is
the file that they use and have open at the time. However, the logical
file that you placed over the physical file caused the unique
contstraint to be violated during the operation by the translation. You
say the data could not have caused this, but I think if you put the
physical file under journalling (without the logicals) and watch the
translation operations, you will find that there is a point in time that
the uniqueness of the logical file would be compromised.
