5763SS1 Option 18 "Media & Storage Extensions"

Last Friday I installed a 3570 tape drive on our AS/400 300-2042.  Man,
is this ever a step up from an 8mm.  This tape has capabilities beyond
what our CISC can use presently, but we're going RISC within a year.

In a PTF cover letter, it suggests installing 5763SS1 Option 18 "Media &
Storage Extensions".  I tried to do just that, but it isn't on our V3R2
tape.  But it _does_ show up when I take option 11 (Install Licensed
Program) from the LICPGM menu.  I can't find any info in the softcopy
library, nor can I find any info on the IBM AS/400 web site, unless I
just don't know where to look.

Does anyone know what this licensed program will do for me?  Or where to
find out what it is?
