I tried to figure this out.  But try this instead.  We did an unload/reload to 
a different 
system.  We have a few spanning logicals.  The boss just did a second restore 
with OPTION(*NEW).  
Worked like a champ!  Hey, he hasn't written a line of code in years, but he 
can tune a 400 quite well.

I'm putting together some updated information for our Disaster Recovery
restore procedures.
Has anyone got a utility or a method of determining which physical files
have a logical over them that is stored in a different library?   Other than
checking each one! ;-)
Obviously, the logicals won't restore if the physical isn't there.....
