ASNA's RPG can be either 'free form' or 'columnar. There are a number of functions in ASNA's RPG that can only be done using their 'free form' coding style largely because of the nature of the environment. While on that thought, how do mouse over and mouse click action subroutines convert to the AS400? There are a number of other definitions that must be done using their opcodes. Hmm, what are you doing for panel/screen definitions? ----- Original Message ----- From: Kirk Goins <KirkG@pacinfosys.com> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Friday, October 01, 1999 5:21 PM Subject: RE: Anybody using ASNA's RPG400 for the Advanced 36 ?? : To make this tale short, it's the only RPG compiler they bought. They : want to end-up native 400 in the long run and We hoped that we would be : able to use S36EE so new development would be 400 based. : : --------------------------------- : Kirk Goins : Pacific Information Systems : 503-290-2104 : kirkg@pacinfosys.com : --------------------------------- : : > -----Original Message----- : > From: Dan Bale [SMTP:dbale@genfast.com] : > Sent: Friday, October 01, 1999 10:59 AM : > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com : > Subject: Re: Anybody using ASNA's RPG400 for the Advanced 36 ?? : > : > : > : > Kirk, : > : > Uh, why bother using the ASNA compiler if you're not in the M36 : > environment? : > Does the ASNA compiler have features not supported by the native : > as/400 : > compilers?
