Hi, I think you have to have QSYSOPR in the directory, WRKDIRE. Tim Shepherd Fraser Alexander Limited Boksburg South Africa -----Original Message----- From: James_Turnbull@kaz.com.au [SMTP:James_Turnbull@kaz.com.au] Sent: Friday, October 01, 1999 5:02 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: AS/400 to MS Exchange mail Hi I'm currently trying to setup SMTP to mail to an MS Exchange server from an AS/400. The AS/400 is at V3R7 and I have configured all the SMTP according to the instructions from IBM. I have added an alias in the system alias table for the user I wish to email and Exchange server is in the host table and can be pinged. When, however, I try to send mail to the user with the SNDDST command the message is sent through the QSMTPQ queue and a few minutes later I get the error message: "Distribution failed for USER at SYSTEM" on the QSYSOPR message queue. In this message it tells me that the DIA error is X'0201 - System Error. I cannot find mention of what this error means in any of the manuals or redbooks. It is also not listed in any APARS or the Software Knowledge Base. Does anyone have any idea of what is going wrong hereor if there any unusual things that need to be done to get MS Exchange to work with AS/400 SMTP.
