What we (AS/400 folks in general) is some sort of freeware code
repository.

For the Windows/C++ MFC folks, we have http://www.codeguru.com

How about the same sort of thing (minus the commercials! CodeGuru used
to be clean and fast but was purchased...now you see the result) for
AS/400's?

I'd help, but I just do not have the time. And something like this
does require time to setup.

But, I do have some code I could contribute. Like RtvSplfA (Retrieve
Spool File Attributes..a command IBM should supply, but doesn't). And
others have stuff also. Like retrieving the library a program was
loaded from...several different ways.

Everything on CodeGuru comes with source code & no strings. All the
authors get is fame & job offers.

And many of things don't even come with code...just techniques. Like
changing the IP address of a windows box under program control (it is
done via the registry).

If the PC folks can do something like this, why can't us Midrangers?

Just a random thought while I wait for my wife to return from Austin...
