Re: of job logs, auditing and such ...

 I'd settle though for at least having a record
of what jobs they ran, be it by command line or menu option.  Can anyone
help me to better understand this?  Or can someone point me to
appropriate documentation?  Any help would be most appreciated.  Thanks

Check the *JOBD on the user profiles using DSPUSRPRF to an outfile, this should
be common for most of them.

                       Display User Profile (DSPUSRPRF)

Type choices, press Enter.

User profile . . . . . . . . . . > *ALL          Name, generic*, *ALL
Type of information  . . . . . .   *BASIC        *BASIC, *ALL, *CMDAUT...
Output . . . . . . . . . . . . . > *OUTFILE      *, *PRINT, *OUTFILE
File to receive output . . . . .                 Name
  Library  . . . . . . . . . . .     *LIBL       Name, *LIBL, *CURLIB
Output member options:
  Member to receive output . . .   *FIRST        Name, *FIRST
  Replace or add records . . . .   *REPLACE      *REPLACE, *ADD



Then Change that *JOBD  to have the following


                        Change Job Description (CHGJOBD)

 Type choices, press Enter.

 Message logging:
   Level  . . . . . . . . . . . .   4             0-4, *SAME
   Severity . . . . . . . . . . .   00            0-99, *SAME
   Text . . . . . . . . . . . . .   *SECLVL       *SAME, *MSG, *SECLVL, *NOLIST
 Log CL program commands  . . . .   *YES          *SAME, *NO, *YES



When they signoff with *LIST you will get the JOBLOG of your dreams.
