But Roger, wasn't the that the whole point in the first place?  To come up
with a replacement for the two-session, four-color twin-ax terminal?

The idea that some had of replacing the Microsoft solution was way way to
ambitious a plan.  In my opinion most people understand the thin client is
in fact a thin client.
