You don't need step 4:

>cpyf the 2 PF members to 2 different source PF members.

You can use CMPPFM (option 54) on non-source physical files.

Depending on what you need to compare, it might be easier if you do the
DSPFD to an outfile and compare the outfiles directly.  However you
can't display all the information in this way (or not to a single
outfile in a single step, at least).

If you have to do it a lot you can wrap it all up in a simple CL
program, but I'm sure you'll have thought of that :)
