Dear all, Our customer have PRINTONIX printer Model P5215 with ETHERNET card attach to the printer. Planning to communicate with AS/400 via LAN with TCP/IP. Currently they're using Client Netware or IPX as their network protocol. I've tried using CRTOUTQ with these parameters: OUTQ(TEST QGPL) SEQ(*FIFO) RMTSYS(*INTNETADR) RMTPRTQ(D1PRN) AUTOSTRWTR(1) CNNTYPE(*IP) DESTTYPE(*OTHER) TRANSFORM(*YES) USRDTATFM(*NONE) MFRTYPMDL(*IBM6404) WSCST(*NONE) INTNETADR('10.10.10.4') CLASS(A) FCB(*NONE) DESTOPT(*NOWAIT) Others parameter use default value. After that, I use STRRMTWTR with these parameters: OUTQ(TEST QGPL) WTR(*OUTQ) Others parameter use default value. In WRKSPLF, we use option 2 to CHGSPLFA with these parameters: DEV(*OUTQ) PRTSEQ(*SAME) FORMTYPE(*STD) COPIES(1) RESTART(*STRPAGE) OUTQ(TEST QGPL) FILESEP(0) PAGERANGE(1 *END) SCHEDULE(*IMMED) SAVE(*YES) OUTPTY(2) USRDTA(*SAME) ALIGN(*NO) PRTQLTY(*STD) Others parameter use default value. It all really done well, mean this Printonix printer can print the spool file well, with this simple configuration (without CRTDEVPRT). BUT...when the customer might have to select pages to print out, such as customer want to print page 20 to 50 from 100 pages total, it didn't do well,...mean that it printed all the 100 pages. I have change the parameter at CHGSPLFA, PAGERANGE (20 50), BUT the result then...it still printed all the 100 pages. Do anyone in this forum have any experience with printer with ehternet card attached or printer with IP address? Maybe anyone of you can give me better solution about this. Appreciate for all your suggestions. Note: I've tried to CRTDEVPRT with the compatible type for these PRINTONIX printer as said in the Printonix Guide Book, it said that's compatible with IBM ProPrinter XL, but it always failed.
