An OPNQRYF "select records" panel is a great idea. I've been meaning to write
one for a long while, but something else always comes up. We have to
support many (around 100) as400's around the US. Our customers don't always
have querry installed and those are usually the machines where we need to
sign on and run a querry to find a problem.

We have a few DSPLFD commands lying around that use the API to display fields
in a file. Trade? Post?

There was a post on this list or the RPG400-L that asked for shareware.

Well it just so happens that we "feel your pain" <g> and finally wrote a
OPNQRYF front end that looks like the OPNQRYF "Select records" panel.
We have to support V3R2 so it's in plain jane RPG400 but it gets us by.

The upshot is that we have decided to include what we have as
shareware. We should "modernize" it up to snuff because it uses a built
PF for a field list instead of an API.
