Welcome to our side of the world Mr. Paris. You correct in your assumption that MF PTFs are different. As the microcode is considered part of the machine you must get PTFs for it from your hardware maintenance provider. At least in the past IBM would still send them on tape even if you were not a maintenance customer but not via ECS.
