You can drop it and recreate it, however (once again in DB2 UDB) you get a message that it can not be dropped if it is in use somewhere in the database instance. I would expect the DB2 UDB for AS/400 to work EXACTLY the same. If it does not, then I would COMPLAIN to IBM in very strongly worded terms. This is because if they want to call the database on the 400 "UDB", then I think it should work JUST like DB2 UDB. Period. -- =========================================================== R.
