While I respect your opinion here are some facts.

- about how the 400 handles system dating.
It is not meant to be a math test

As I remember it the AS/400 system date is
internally tracked in units of 1024 microseconds
since August 23, 1980 12:02:06:315

This is the basis for the comparison
