And I have been a supporter of pushing the "Business Rules" into the data base for 10 years (like Codd said) I even have been teaching for SQL for POWERTECH lately trumpeting those particular points(Great classes BTW, www.400school.com plug plug) However the DEFINITION aspect of DDS with the Refer process, with it's ability to do type casting while still referring, is still better IMO as stated above. BTW, why didn't they automatically map the VALUES,and RANGE DDS function into the new stuff????????
