Hello all

We are in the process of creating and managing copies of specific reports
to Data Base Files - or -
Folders and Office Documets ... or any other AS400 object that will allow
quick retrieval (Except TAPE)

The requests for retrieval will be part of the CUSTOMER Inquiry screen and
we do not want the user to wait too long to get COPIES of the original
reports ...

We have heard of products to COMPRESS and DECOMPRESS AS400 Data Files ...
Can someone please share some experience with these products in the AS400

The things that I have to consider is DASD .. How can I squeeze the maximum
out of those Reports in a Data Base
   File ?

Is it better to use a separate File with one member ?

Is it better to use a source File with a discrete number of members ?

Is it better to use A Folder and Office Documents ?

Or .. any other approach .. say *USRSPC (s) instead of Data Base File (s) ?

Any Contributions and/or opinions will be gladly appreciated.

    TIA

Jorge
