Is your power user transferring to a standard text file on the PC? If so, try using FTP from the PC, that is assuming you are connected via TCP/IP. We actually copy spool files directly to the IFS. Once there, it is easy to open with a PC. If you don't need to translate it to a PC type data base or spread sheet this should be much simpler than client access file transfer. Very large files have worked for me, but then I am only on V3R7. Christopher K.
