  • Subject: DB2/400 ODBC access on NT Server

Has anyone successfully used the Client Access ODBC driver on NT Server
without a user logged in?

The situation:
I have several reports designed in Crystal Reports 7, that access data from
an AS/400 via the Client Access ODBC drivers. The reports are on an NT
Server 4 box running IIS4. I have the Crystal Reports automation server
(cpeaut32.dll) running in a package in Microsoft Transaction Server. Under
MTS, if I set the identity of the package to the "Interactive User" option,
and I log in to the NT Server box, I can access my reports over the Web with
no problems.

The problem:
If I change the Identity for the Crystal package to any local or domain
user, report access via the Web does not work.

More info:
I have one report that does not use the Client Access ODBC drivers (it uses
a SQL Server database on another NT box). I can access this report over the
web with the MTS Identity set to a user account on the NT Server box, with
nobody logged in. So it appears the problem is specific to the Client
Access ODBC driver.

My setup:
NT Server 4 SP4 128-bit
IIS 4
Microsoft Transaction Server
Crystal Reports 7
Client Access V3R1M3 - SF45363

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
