Ah, there's part of the problem.. These keywords are not supported in
v3, and we're running v3r7 on our production box.  Many thanks for all
the help.  Maybe this will result in  an upgrade.

        I have never done this, but I think if your job date is
DATFMT(*YMD),
        DATSEP('-') and your DDS is DATE(*JOB *YY) you will get what you
want (in
        V4R3 anyway.)  See the DDS reference at
