M Hello Mike, Yes there is a better way. If you want to do all the work yourself: You can use the List Signed on Users API (QEZLSGNU) to fill a user space with signed-on users. You can subset the list by user name and/or device name. If you want someone else to do the work: You can use the Send Message API (QEZSNDMG) to send a break message to a list of users or display devices. These APIs are described in the Operational Assistant API manual -- part of the SPIR -- available on the softcopy CD. Regards, Simon Coulter. «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» «» FlyByNight Software AS/400 Technical Specialists «» «» Eclipse the competition - run your business on an IBM AS/400. «» «» «» «» Phone: +61 3 9419 0175 Mobile: +61 0411 091 400 «» «» Fax: +61 3 9419 0175 mailto: shc@flybynight.com.au «» «» «» «» Windoze should not be open at Warp speed. «» «»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«»«» //--- forwarded letter ------------------------------------------------------- > Date: Wed, 28 Jul 99 17:44:11 -0400 > From: mwindbec@exelna.com > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Reply-To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: Break Messages > Hello all, > > How can I get a listing of all devices a single user profile is > signed on to so I can send break messages to all the active devices? Then do a SNDBRKMSG command to the device name.
