Get the red book  "AS/400 Internet Security: IBM Firewall for 
AS/400",  SG24-2162 available from the red books web 
site,  www.redbooks.ibm.com

Read through it and do the planning first.  Fill out the actual planning 
sheets that you find in that book as well.  Also, visit the firewall site, 
www.as400.ibm.com/firewall  where there is a lot of info, including the 
latest PTF's you need for the different releases that the firewall can run on.

Ensure that the IPCS that you are going to run the firewall on has two 
network cards attached to it, one for the secure port and one for the 
unsecure.  Also, if you are using Ethernet, only one of these cards can be 
the FC 2838, 10/100MB fast Ethernet card, the other has to be FC 2723, 10MB 
Ethernet.
